In the event of an arrest, you or your loved one should contact our office as soon as possible to discuss the best strategy for proceeding forward with the matter. There is no charge for the initial consultation. Call 312-850-2600 or email plcoffey@comcast.net.
Civil Rights
Some citizens may not realize that almost any unit of government can violate their civil rights. Government entities include municipalities (and their police and other departments), school districts, state agencies and more. The rights safeguarded by the Constitution and federal legislation are not limited to police brutality, but extend to other issues of privacy, discrimination and more. Naturally, not all acts of governments rise to the level of a violation, however, if you believe that a unit of government may have violated your civil rights, contact our office for a free interview. Personal Injury
If you are injured as the result of an accident such as a motor vehicle crash, slip and fall, pedestrian or bicycle incident, you may be entitled to compensation. Simply stated, if someone owes you a duty of care and breaches or violates that duty, which results in a foreseeable injury to you that you did not cause, that person or corporate entity may be liable for monetary damages. Depending on the circumstances, the time period during which your case must be filed could be between one and two years, so it is advisable to consult an attorney as soon as possible after an accident. Once you have seen a medical professional and learned the extent of your injuries, call 312-850-2600 or email plcoffey@comcast.net or evitelllaw@gmail.com and we will be happy to analyze your case.
Other Legal Matters
Our office takes calls and consults with clients regardless of the nature of their inquiries. If you have a legal matter that falls outside our usual areas, we will gladly review the details of your case and offer you an appropriate referral to an experienced lawyer with a regular practice in that field. Feel free to call us at 312-850-2600 or email plcoffey@comcast.net or evitelllaw@gmail.com and we will be happy to analyze your case.
